Title: The Healing Portrait
Word count: 100

The eyes were so sad - practically haunting. Justin studied the portrait that Lindsey's friend had given him, relating to it in a way that wrenched at his gut and wrung it inside out.

Was that what his friends and family saw when they looked into his own eyes? Did he really want to go on feeling like that, day after day? Could he ever dare to be creative again?

Very slowly, he neared the electronic crayola box, cursing his earlier harshness toward Brian.

Brian observed from the bedroom, breathing a sigh of relief. His Sunshine would heal in due time.

They were there for each other, always.
One way or another, this one was just one of this.

Yes, they always knew what the other one needed and provided it. Love, at its most basic level. Thanks for reading.
